DIBt

DIBt stands for Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (German Institute of Building Technology), which is a German building technology institute with authority for both the Federation and the individual States. It issues European technical approvals as well as national technical approvals for building products. The institute also recognises test monitoring and certification agencies for construction products, prepares technical decrees, participates in the work on technical regulatory instruments, carries out type testing and produces expert reports.
